Structured source data first. CBE uses its published API; Awash uses its public rate widget. Other banks use their published cash tables. Transaction and weighted-average quotes are excluded. Invalid, inverted, missing, or non-finite pairs are rejected.
A quote must have been checked in the last 48 hours to qualify for rankings, conversion, and alerts. Its publication date must be stated and within 72 hours. A failed latest check, unknown publication date, or older quote moves the record into the archive. A failed fetch preserves the last good quote for reference and records the failure. Fees and availability are confirmed with the bank.

Prices in 100 KG are divided by 100 and shown per kg. Retail and wholesale observations remain separate. Monthly change compares matching markets in consecutive months. Wages and unofficial exchange rates are excluded. Community reports are stored separately and recent retail reports use a 30-day median.
